Roundtable
Discussions and Annual Event
Work/Life
Balance hosts two Roundtable Discussions during the fall and winter
and an annual luncheon in the spring. WLB events typically feature
a topic on a specific work/life issue. Typically a member or special
guest will lead the discussion and provide case studies on local
level while including relevant facts from a broader work/life perspective.
In-Depth Company Profile
An exciting new addition to membership is the opportunity
for each member to participate in the in-depth company profile.
All work/life programs offered by a member company will be outlined
in the profile. The information will include, but not be limited
to the following: name of service provider used for the program,
start date of program, did the program begin as a pilot, steps involved
in rolling out the program, the success of program in qualitative
as well as quantitative terms, and what types of assessments (if
any) have been used.
Publications
Work/Life Balance
offers two publications for its membership:
The Balance
Sheets Series
One Small Step,
The Center for Work and Family at Boston College, and The Midwestern
Work-Family Association has produced over 25 issues of a informative
and timely information on useful work/life models, considerations
and statistics relevant to a work/life professional. You can order copies via OSS.
Work/Life
Balance Meeting Highlight Reports
All members
will receive this publication following an event. It serves as a
resource for members that were able to attend and afford the non-attending
member the ability to review meeting discussions.
WLB Q &
A
Work/Life Balance provides an email Q&A service
for its members. Members submit questions and WLB staff will poll
membership and compile a summary of responses. There is no limit
to what can be learned from each other. What a terrific way to continually
network with each other.
Media Referrals
For sponsoring and supporting members, we will refer
the media to you when we receive calls for information
Annual membership
dues. It is currently the only source of funding for Work/Life Balance
at this time.
Additional sponsorship of events is available.
